Types of Disability Lawyers:

Introduction to Social Security Disability Law

Social Security Disability Law is a complex legal field, and for many applicants, hiring a disability lawyer is the best way to ensure a disability claim is approved and the SSI or SSDI benefits are acquired.

Other applicants have additional options, such as federal disability retirement benefits for Federal Employees. Many times disability claims are initially denied, but can often be appealed at several different levels in order to obtain benefits for the applicant. The disability claims appeals process is best handled by an attorney with experience appealing to the board.
