Permanent Disability

The term permanent disability is one that refers to any condition in which an individual is no longer able to work or hold gainful employment of any type in the open labor market. In addition, it is believed that the condition will not improve over time and therefore will be a lifelong result. Those who wish to apply for Social Security disability insurance will need to show that their doctor has described their condition as being a permanent disability to a level in which the individual can no longer work. The application for disability benefits will require evidence to support this claim. Those with this condition may be able to obtain Social Security disability insurance or Social Security disability benefits.
