You can learn how to apply for disability by simply visiting the Social Security Administration's website. Disability is a term used to describe those individuals who have were made aware, by their doctors, that they cannot perform work related tasks due to physical injury or other injury. Both medical and non-medical reasons for disability are under consideration, however, those who need to apply for non-medical reasons need to contact their local Social Security office to file for disability. A form is then completed and sent in to the office, which will review and make an official judgment on whether the individual qualifies for disability or not.
